Hello everybody! Well, we have officially made it home all safe and sound, and as I am laying in my bed writing this, it is making me sad to realize that it is all over and this is my very last blog post! We woke up really early that morning to travel to the airport, and some people in our group even pulled an all-nighter! So needless to say, no matter what, all of us were very, very, very tired at this point and we could not wait to sleep for the next 9.5 hours on the plane! We took a short 1 hour plane ride from Gothenburg to Stockholm, and then once we landed at the Stockholm Arlanda Airport, we had to rush to get to another terminal and go through customs to make our next flight to O’Hare. But, the good news is that we made it just in time! We boarded our last plane and after we got on the plane, we all got super excited, because an announcement was made that said that boarding was complete, and the economy section that we were in on the plane was practically empty! So we all had the chance to move around then and we all got a full row of seats all to ourselves! It was definitely the comfiest plane ride I have ever been on and so nice to have so much room and stretch out! Here are some pictures of the plane below:

Below are some pictures that I took during the flight:

We were also served another meal about halfway through the flight, and it was really good again!

I was kind of dreading the very long flight going into it, as it was a good 9.5 hours from Stockholm to Chicago, but it ended up not being bad at all! I slept for awhile, watched some movies, wrote my final paper, and before I knew it we were close to Chicago!
I am all safe and sound and back at home now, and I would just like to say thank you so much to everyone who has been reading my blogs! It means so much to me, and it has been really fun for me to share my journey with you this way! I might have to start keeping a blog like this every time that I travel now! 🙂
Things I learned today:
- International travel is not a huge deal and not bad at all! It can be challenging at some times, but it is totally doable! I have a new mindset on it!
- Being back in America feels AMAZING! I walked into my dorm and thought it looked huge!
- I definitely miss Swedish food a lot! But American food has it’s perks, like Mexican food and my mom’s home cooking!
- Going into the trip, I never thought I would have made so many new friends. I thought I would just be hanging out with my good friends Sam and Ashley the whole time, but it has been so much fun getting to know 14 other new and great people!
- I am already looking forward to my next J-term travel experience!
Well, that is all for now. Be sure to check out all of the other tabs on my blog as everything is officially completed now! Thank you again for reading all of this and keeping up with my trip! It means so much to me! And finally, goodnight from America!
